In fact, it’s actually the ridiculously good looking Bridal Party of Elle and Matt from their May wedding last year. I absolutely love the autumn tones of the bridal party, the girls have pulled off mismatched dresses to perfection 👌

This was hands down the best wedding that I have ever had the honour of being a part of. This is Colly, my best mate of 36 years. The last time that I saw this gorgeous girl she was a teeny tiny little youngen playing flute at my Brother’s wedding. Fast forward 15 years and I had the pleasure of doing her makeup for her own wedding.

I was lucky enough to do Jessie’s makeup for her wedding in April last year. And when I say lucky, I mean I rocked up at the wrong accommodation, waking ol love up at 7am on a Saturday morning. There was a serious amount of confusion, partly because she was still half asleep (and expecting a makeup artist at 11am), and partly because I was trying to math in my head how I was going to do 7 beautiful faces in two hours. We finally established that her makeup artist was indeed arriving at 11am, and I was indeed at the wrong address, and found my beautiful bride two doors down 🤷🤦

It matched Lara’s personality perfectly, one of the sweetest, most beautiful humans you’ll ever meet. Lara’s gorgeous hair was styled by the lovely @withabbyrowe . It was a pleasure to spend the morning with Lara and her beautiful bridesmaids. Lara’s Review: “I cannot recommend Nicky highly enough! Prior to the trial and wedding day, i had never had my makeup done before, and I didn’t have a clue what I wanted beyond “a natural look”. After finding Nicky’s socials, I had complete faith that she would do an amazing job,…and she did not disappoint! Nicky is a talented makeup artist, she has a strong sense of how to work everyone’s natural beauty, she’s down to earth, hilarious, enthusiastic and an all-round lovely person. She had me and the girls looking natural and feeling glowy all day and night. We loved the entire experience, start to finish.”
Ahhhh, Maddi and Shawn’s epic Sandon wedding, hands down the most eventful and adventurous Wedding I have done to date. The location, the other side of Sandon River, is very remote and accessed by boat. I don’t like boats. Like I really, really don’t like boats. When I arrived it was absolutely bucketing down rain, torrential, blowing a gale in every direction. You could not have dreamt a worst scenario for someone that really, really, doesn’t like boats. I had to load all my gear, and myself, into a small boat to be transported to the location. By the time I got there, I was drenched from head to toe and had to do the entire wedding dripping wet. It poured down rain all morning, but thankfully the sun came out just before the ceremony and it was an absolute cracker of an afternoon. Unfortunately by the time I was transported by boat back to the mainland, the single road out was completely flooded from the downpour. Good times.
Maddi’s Review: “Nicky was my makeup artist for my wedding and wow, did she exceed my expectations. Not only was my location extremely remote that she could only access by boat (which I later found out she is petrified of) but it was also absolutely torrential rain and winds. Nicky braved the trip for me for the trial and again the wedding. Apart from that her makeup look was sensational, she listened to me and also advised what she thought best, in the end, the final look was so beautiful, it was exactly what I wanted. If you’re considering a makeup artist that is not only going to make you feel comfortable but also make you look a million bucks.. look no further!”
Rachel and Brenton wrapped up the year that was 2020. When Rachel booked me as her MUA I remember thinking, “what kind of wonder woman plans a Wedding a few days before Christmas?” I’m flat out organising Christmas, let alone adding one of life’s biggest occasions into the mix. Then I met Rachel, ridiculously cruisy and super chilled. That’s the kind of person that organises a Wedding right before Christmas.
