This is your sign to do your wedding, your way. It can be so easy to fall into the three T’s…. Tradition, Trends and Tiktok videos. But realistically, other than the legals, you can really do your wedding however you want. Take Jade’s “Cruella de Vil” inspired look, complete with black hair and a white streak. The brief was a smokey eye, big lashes and a deep burgundy lip. Top it all off with a stunning black dress and did somebody say ”crown”?! Hell yeah!

Bridal makeup doesn’t have to be “bridal”.

Minnie Waters is becoming an increasingly popular wedding destination within the Clarence Valley. I have done so many weddings out there over the past few years that I can confidently say that I have worked in every second house along the ocean front. There are some stunning holiday homes in Minnie Waters with the most amazing views of the ocean. Ruby and Mitch chose to say “I do” on the headland over looking beautiful Minnie Water beach.

The fabulous wedding of Meg and Mads kicked off my weddings for the second half of the year last year. It was such an honour for me to be a part of their special day. It was a beautiful morning at the family home, super chill vibes, good food and a whole lot of love. I absolutely adored the theme of the bridesmaids, Meg and Mads daughters dressed in the colours of gemstones, representing the precious gems that they are. Such a special day.

I do love a winter wedding. I know that after spending 8 hours working with a Bridal party the makeup is going to stay exactly where I put it for the rest of the day. A lot can be said for 0% humidity.
Megs makeup brief was “Hollywood Glam”, we did a beautiful earthy tone sculpted eye, lashes and a bold red lip. @asianmeg nailed the hairstyle to match. For Mads we kept the look super simple, sheer foundation and soft contouring. Mads definitely stepped out of her comfort zone in my chair but I truly appreciate the trust she had in me to create this look for her special day.

Weddings are now all wrapped up for 2025! This Spring Wedding Season was huge, a lot of travel, a lot of beautiful bridal parties, I’ve been so busy on the tools I haven’t shared as much as I usually do on the socials. BUT, that means in the new year there will be so many beautiful weddings for me to share with you all!

Some of you may remember my little adventure last year over to the New England tablelands for the Wedding of Mindy and Tim at the incredible Kings Plains (haunted) Castle. This (haunted) Castle aint playin, it’s not a pretend (haunted) Castle, it’s a proper 28 bedroom, 3 level (haunted) Castle, complete with tower and battlements. Now some people really love the whole spiritual paranormal thing, like my Bride Mindy. Me, on the other hand – nope, no thank you, not for me. I’ll stay on this side and mind my own business, you guys can stay on your side, and we’ll all live happily ever after. After a morning of glam I took a wander around the grounds, alone…. But not alone. Taking in the beautiful gardens, the warm breeze on my neck on a chilly autumn day, and the faint whispers “come inside, let’s play”. I felt guided through the dark rabbit-warren halls, rooms at every turn, a spiral staircase leading to the attic, and a young child standing at the top of the basement stairs whispering “can you see me?….”

Kings Plains (haunted) Castle has been refurbished and developed as an exclusive guesthouse with 11 of the 28 rooms available for accommodation – because the other 17 rooms are no doubt occupied by the previous tenants dating back to 1832. Please don’t invite me to stay #fobi

Meet Hayley, the super organiser behind the Clarence Valleys very own Wedding Planning Service “Rae of Sunshine Events”.

I had the pleasure of being Hayley’s Bridal Makeup Artist for her April wedding at Jetty Beach House in Coffs Harbour. Whilst a stunning outdoor ceremony was planned, the weather had other ideas and Plan B was put in place. You know what makes the Plan B process run a lot smoother? An “On the day Wedding Coordinator” which Hayley offers as a part of her service at @raeofsunshineevents25 . Having somebody there on your big day to do all the running around, the setting up, making sure all the finer details are in place, certainly removes a lot of stress.

If there is an opportunity to share a photo with a horse in it, I’ll be taking it. I loved being a part of Laura’s country wedding, it was such a relaxed fun morning hanging out with Laura’s girls. I feel so lucky to be able to work here in the Clarence Valley with the most chilled country Brides.

Back in Autumn I had the pleasure of working at The Acre Boomerang Farm for Georgie and Lachlan’s Wedding. It was my first time at the venue nestled in the Gold Coast Hinterland, it was a little bit of country right on the outskirts of the city. Most impressive however, was the Bridal Parlour, our very own hair and makeup studio conveniently located right in the middle of the venue. It was fancy, very cool.

This one was a special one for me. I have known Georgie’s parents since high school, I even photographed their wedding way back in 17mumblemumble, the Wedding Photographer era.
It was such an honour to be asked to be Georgie’s Bridal Makeup Artist. Georgie was the first baby born into our circle of friends and I felt like a proud Mum watching her get all glammed up for her own Wedding Day.
Congratulations Georgie, and to Katie and Dobbo, what a proud moment for you both, you have raised an exceptional, beautiful young lady. Thank you for having me!
