I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend! I officially wrapped up Autumn Wedding Season on Sunday with a beautiful wedding in Grafton. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of my beautiful Brides – Jamie-Lee, Abbie, Georgie, Mindy, Josie, Laura, Hayley, Ella, Donna, Mandy, Kelly and Chelsea, for choosing me to be your Bridal Makeup Artist this Autumn. As always it is such an honour for me to be your Makeup Artist on your special day, I am so grateful!

I’ve got another huge Spring Wedding season ahead, with 17 beautiful Brides currently booked in with their favourite makeup artist. My weekends are now fully booked through until mid November, I have plenty of weekday availability, if you are planning a weekday wedding please get in touch.

Some of you may recognise this gorgeous girl from various photoshoots throughout my social media. Em has modelled for me on numerous occasions and it was such an honour for me to be asked to be her Bridal Makeup Artist. I’m always so grateful to these beautiful girls for giving up their time, and their face, for me to practice, learn and create content for you wonderful humans. Most of the time these girls have never modelled before and they are thrown in front of a camera and asked to portray a concept or convey a message and it’s not an easy thing to do. I appreciate each and every one of my models immensely.

This was such a great wedding to be a part of! Ellie and Adam chose to have an intimate ceremony with just a handful of their nearest and dearest at a stunning BnB nestled in the Coffs hills. They then surprised all their family and friends by arriving at their ‘engagement party’ at a nearby restaurant, already married! Legends!

26th October 2024, officially awarded the most requested date for 2024. I had nine beautiful brides reach out to me for this date, but luckily for Edwina she got in touch twelve months in advance to secure the date. It was a beautiful spring morning down in Yamba where the girls chose to get ready at The Cove Apartments before heading out to At Lewis Lane for the ceremony and reception.

Edwina’s Review: “Nicky was highly recommended to me and she exceeded expectations. Leaving us all feeling amazing and beautiful! Nothing was ever a problem, super easy going and very calming presence to have around, even when I started getting bridal nervous Nicky just calmed me down.”

Every time I look at these images of my beautiful Bride Kristi all I can think of is ‘Fairytale Princess’. Stunning Bride, Stunning Dress, Stunning Location.

Kristi chose to get ready at the beautiful Solum Eco Farmstay. This gorgeous accommodation is just a short drive from the Wedding Venue “At Lewis Lane”, and provides the most beautiful backdrop for your getting ready photos.

Kristi and Riley chose to have a “First Look” before their ceremony along with their creative photos with the beautiful backdrop of At Lewis Lane. Having a first look and the majority of your photos taken before the ceremony is a great option as it allows you to relax with your guests after the ceremony before moving into the reception. Just make sure you give my photog colleagues the opportunity to capture that bloody sunset shot, or they’ll hate me forever for making the suggestion

This was such a fun wedding to be a part of. When Ruby told me that they were having a 70s disco themed Wedding I thought to myself ‘you really have to commit to a themed wedding to be able to pull it off. Go hard or go home’. And go hard they did! These guys were so awesome! It was so much fun to pull out some 70s style makeup looks, I even got to use that blue eyeshadow I always joke about #iykyk 
A+ level of commitment from all the guests too, complete with some grooooovy styling and did somebody say “mechanical bull”. What a celebration!

This is a fitting wedding to share considering the weather we’ve had over the last week. Mel and Jake took out the Wettest Wedding Award for 2024 (I think we know who is going to take it out this year….). It rained solid all day long for Mel’s spring wedding last year. I am so grateful that Mel was the most chilled Bride ever and took the constant downpour in her stride.

I had the pleasure of being Bre’s Bridal Makeup Artist for her beautiful country wedding last Spring. I was fortunate enough to witness the cutest “first look” with Bre and her bridesmaids, followed by a first look with her parents. If you have the time make sure you include a first look with your nearest and dearest, they are the sweetest, such beautiful memories.

I headed back down to Yamba for Alana and Josh’s beautiful Spring wedding last September. Alana’s wedding was a perfect example of why you should hire ‘Professional Wedding Vendors’ – halfway through the morning we lost power. No problemo for ol luv here with the paint brushes, big problemo for the hair chick with the hot styling tools. Now the first rule of Wedding Day is: you do not talk about Wedding Day. The second rule of Wedding Day is: you do NOT stress the Bride out. Thankfully Alana was smart and hired the best of the best in Wedding Vendors, and @jennarationhairandbeauty handled the situation with minimal fuss and zero stress. Be smart like Alana!

Also, this is why we allow extra time!
