I often hear people talk about the value of wedding vendors – “I’m not paying that, my cousin can do really great makeup”. When you hire a professional artist, you are not just paying for their service, you are paying for their experience. Sure Aunty Karen can compose a great photo, but twenty bucks she starts sweating blood at the first sign of rain because she has no idea what to do. And yeah, Cousin Cathy does a pretty good job on the makeup, but she’s going to be rockin back n forth in the corner when the first bridesmaid comes back to her with her foundation separating because Cathy used an oil based primer with a water based foundation. And I know your mate Stacey is great with a curling wand, but she’s absolutely going to burst a vessel when the power goes out.
All these vendors stressing out = one completely stressed out Bride.
You are paying these artists for their experience. You are paying for how they handle themselves in a pressure cooker situation. You are paying for a professional.
